What is the cost of investing in shares?

The maximum total brokerage fees stand at 2.4% of the value of the trade. This includes Brokerage charges, DSE fees, CMSA fees, CDS fees, and Fidelity fees.

How soon can an investor start to invest?

Once the investor has opened a CDS account, they will be able to start trading. However, MTP clients may need to wait approximately 10 minutes for authorization.

What are the risks to consider?

Risks include price risk, volatility risk, and liquidity risk.

What are the factors affecting the performance of stocks?

Factors include company-related developments, sector-specific factors, and broader market conditions.

What are dividends?

A dividend is a share of a company's profit distributed to shareholders. Dividend policies vary from company to company.

Minimum Number of Shares?

Minimum number of shares one can buy is 10 shares.

Minimum Number of Bonds?

Bonds are sold at a multiple of shillings 100,000. Small investors can pool their money together and buy a bond with the help of a fund manager.

Who can Buy Bonds?

Any person, natural or artificial person (companies, trust, Saccos, religious organization, pension scheme, investment group etc), many others can buy bonds.
